Refunds & cancellations

Scope

This policy covers paid places on Ridgepoint Civil Engineering School programmes, workshops, laboratory courses, CPD weeks, and seminar series delivered at our Birmingham campus or associated field visits. It does not cover third-party accommodation, travel, or equipment you purchase independently.

Eligibility & timeframe

If you cancel in writing more than 21 days before the published start date, we refund fees paid minus any non-refundable deposit stated in your offer letter. Cancellations between 21 and 8 days before the start date receive a 50% refund of the course fee after deposit adjustments. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date, or after teaching has begun, are not refundable except where required by UK consumer law or where we cancel the cohort.

Full or partial refunds

A full refund of course fees (including deposit) applies when we cancel a cohort and cannot offer a suitable alternative date. Partial refunds follow the timetable above when you cancel early. Seminar series single-evening tickets are refundable only if cancelled at least 48 hours before that evening.

Non-refundable items

  • Deposits marked as non-refundable in the offer letter once the cooling-off period (if any) has ended
  • Personal PPE and textbooks you purchased yourself
  • No-shows without prior written notice

Work already started & materials

Once studio, laboratory, or field teaching for your place has begun, fees for that cohort are not refundable. Consumable materials supplied by the school for exercises already delivered are not credited separately.

Rescheduling

You may request a transfer to a later cohort of the same course if space exists and you write to us at least 14 days before your original start. One complimentary transfer per booking is usually allowed; further transfers may incur an administration fee of £75.

Deposits & no-shows

Deposits secure your place and are applied to the course fee. Failure to attend without notice forfeits the deposit and remaining fees already paid for that cohort.

Refund process & timing

Email info@system-ridgepoint.click with your full name, course title, start date, and reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 working days of approval.
